Andrew Garfield has revealed that he auditioned for the Narnia movies, but hopeless out on the part because helium wasn't deemed handsome enough.

"I remember I was so desperate. I auditioned for Prince Lake in The Chronicles of Narnia and I thinking, 'This could represent information technology, this could be it,'" Garfield aforesaid in an question with Entertainment This evening. "And that freehanded, superb actor Ben Barnes finished up getting the function. I think it was down to me and him, and I recall I was controlled."

The character first appears in the bit picture show in the series, 2008's The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, and once again in the unalterable movie in the trilogy, 2010's The Chronicles of Narnia: The Sail of the Dawn Treader.

When he didn't get the role, Garfield went to his agent and asked, "Why not me?"

"She eventually just broke under my incessant nagging and she was like, 'It's because they assume't mean you're handsome enough, Andrew,'" James A. Garfield added. "Ben Barnes is a very bountiful, talented man. So in look back, I'm not unhappy with the decision and I think he did a beautiful line of work."

Around the time of the final Narnia moving picture's release, Garfield starred in The Social Network, which earned him a Golden Globe nominating address, before active on to play Spider-Valet in The Astonishing Spider-Man movies.
